Hello.  Bienvenidos.  Konbanwa.  Good Evening.  All of these are ways to say the same thing.  I only know one word in each of those languages.  Just kidding.  That's obviously a lie because I know English fluently, Intermediate Japanese and SUPER basic Spanish.  Fun Fact.  Now that I have your attention, this is not Hannah.  This is her dear friend and roommate, Abbie.  You may know me from past posts such as...I don't know which ones.  Maybe ones about going to Seattle?  Let me tell you a little secret about myself.  I love Conan O'Brien.  He is the most funny person on the earth.  You should like him too.  So check him out because he's great.  Here's another secret.  It's my birthday today.  I be 22.  Weird.  Can you believe that 22 years ago, I came into this world?  I scarce can take it in.  I crossed the Veil of Heaven and came in to this mortal existence.  What a wild ride it has been.  I am so grateful for this life I have been given!  And lest I wax poetic, I shall end this post right here.  Till we meet again, my dear strangers, I bid you...adieu!

My life details in a week

Tomorrow is the official last day of Winter Semester!

I've finished all of my exams and aside from a couple makeup assignments I'm going to be packing and moving my stuff to apt 307 for spring semester for the next two days. It makes me so anxious for spring! I'll be rooming with Abbie and Brynn again, then our old fhe sisters Amy, Ashley, and Michelle. It's going to be such a fun apartment.

Here, just take a look at these amazing ladies:

Michelle, Ashley, and Amy

Brynn and Abbie

I am such a lucky girl to be rooming with the girls!
I don't feel like I'm near cool enough to even be friends with them.

On Saturday Abbie is taking me home to Washington with her. Ever since I came out to BYU-I every person I've ever met from Washington has been the coolest people ever. (4 girls in our apartment next semester will be from Washington while 2 will be from the east coast). It thrills me to know that I'll be going there and seeing what makes these people so awesome. I bet it's something in the water...or the rain...
We'll be going to Seattle and Portland as well as doing many other exciting things during the week.
While we're in Seattle, I'll be able to cross something off my bucket list: Going to the gum wall.

Gross? yes;
Ridiculous? yes;
Rare oddities in life? yes;
So why wouldn't I want to do it?
It'll be a dream come true!

As of now, I think I have everything in my life under control- Lets hope it stays that way!

Erma Bombeck's reflections

ERMA BOMBECK
Erma Bombeck's reflections

"If I had my life to live over," written by Erma Bombeck near the end of her life, details the values Bombeck wished had guided her daily decisions. If you were nearing the end of your life and you were writing this, what would you include? Use those ideas to craft your mission statement.

If I had my life to live over, I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television - and more while watching life. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's".. More "I'm sorrys" ... But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute... look at it and really see it ... live it...and never give it back.

One reason I really like this reflection is because she talked about things that are real. Life is only for a lifetime.
